St Georges Day Parade 2018

Important times for this year’s St. George’s Day Parade

The parade will be forming up on River Walk in Tonbridge at 10:45 am.

When you arrive walk, along River Walk until you find your group; there will be plenty of people to help guide you.

Roads will be closing from 10:55 am ready for the parade to begin at 11:00 am.

The parade will lead off from River Walk and pass along Bradford Street before entering Tonbridge High Street on it’s journey to the Castle Lawn via the river gate entrance. The parade will be led by the 17th Tonbridge Scout and Guide Band.

The parade will consist of all ages involved in Scouting and Guiding in Tonbridge District and they will perform a full circle of the castle lawn before forming up facing the castle.

The service on the castle lawn that will begin at 11:20 am.

The service will last approximately half an hour and will include short talks from members of the Tonbridge Scouting community as well as the annual renewal of the scouting and guiding promises before closing the parade with the national anthem.

The parade will be dismissed at approximately 12:00 noon.
