More About Us

Founded in 1947, the 14th Tonbridge Sea Scout Group is a Royal Navy Recognised Sea Scout Group which meets at the Weir View HQ in Tonbridge. We specialise in providing water activities including canoeing, kayaking, pulling, power-boating, rafting, dinghy sailing and yachting using sites on the River Medway at Tonbridge and Chatham and at Bough Beech Reservoir.

As an RYA Training Centre, the Group is able to offer courses and training to its members leading to qualifications in the RYA Young Sailor Scheme, National Dinghy Sailor Scheme and National Power-boating Scheme as well as a variety of Scouting achievements in all sections.
