The group was originally formed in 1936 and has always been based in Hildenborough.
The Group is a thriving youth movement within the village and is part of the community within the village. Many of the boys & girls attend the local primary and secondary schools. All the young people come from the local community and contribute to the village events, including the Hildenborough Road races, Remembrance day service as well as organising community events like music festivals & firework celebrations.
The group is a registered charity and is totally funded by contributions from parents, from fundraising and local companies & charitable trusts.
We also strive to enhance the scouting experience for all of our members by participating in competitions & events organised by the District, and Nights Away experiences, both locally and internationally.
As a group we camp all year (January being the Scouts most coveted camp!), participate in walking challenges, personal challenges as well as fun activities like ice skating, scuba diving & 4×4 driving.
